Be prepared to be spellbound as John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Michigan hosts two Wizarding Weekends this fall, enchanting fans of the most famous of wizards, Harry Potter.
Come all students of Gryffindor and Slytherin—transform into the Hogwarts world wearing your favorite Harry Potter costume. While visiting, brush up on your spells, bring your imagination, and watch as the John Ball Zoo staff gives lessons in caring for the fantastical beasts. All wizards, witches, and muggles can test their wands and potions at the Wizard’s Market, then wander their way through the Nocturnal Alley and slink through the Forbidden Forest. Be amazed by dragons and great beasts of the muggle world and let your imagination run wild at this family-friendly event.
While visiting Wizarding Weekend, also be sure to enjoy the BrickLive Animal Paradise, still on display through October 25, 2020. These 40, life-size, animal sculptures are created out of 1.8 million colored building bricks.
Wizarding Weekends will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13; and Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All related activities are included with the regular admission. For more information go to the link at: jbzoo.org/wizardingweekends.
